Exodus 29:4 is the preceding step — washing Aaron and his sons at the tabernacle door before this sacrifice.

Exodus 29:16 continues the ceremony with killing the ram — a different sacrifice in the same consecration sequence.

Leviticus 1:5 also commands killing the bull before the Lord at the tent — this verse follows the same procedure.

Leviticus 4:4 gives the same procedure for a priest's sin offering — bring to door, lay hand, kill before the Lord.

Leviticus 1:3 requires burnt offerings also be brought to the tabernacle door — the same location specified here.

Leviticus 9:8 shows Aaron later killing his own sin offering calf at the altar — a similar but distinct action.

Ezekiel 43:19 instructs a young bull as sin offering for priests — a later echo of this consecration pattern.
