And his servants carried him in a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own sepulchre. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father’s stead.

2 Kings 9:28 uses almost identical wording for Ahaziah's burial: servants carry him in a chariot to Jerusalem.
In 2 Kings 21:24, the people of the land made Josiah king after Amon — exactly the same phrase used here for Jehoahaz.
In 2 Kings 22:20, Josiah was promised a peaceful burial; here he is buried in his own tomb, fulfilling that promise despite dying in battle.
In 2 Chronicles 35:24, this same event is recounted with added detail: they put Josiah in a chariot, mourned him. Affirms the burial sequence.
