Song of Songs 6:11

I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished, and the pomegranates budded.

Cross-reference

In Song 6:2, the woman says her beloved went to his garden; here she goes to a grove to look for the same signs of growth.

In Song 4:12-15, the beloved describes the woman as a garden of pomegranates; here she visits a garden with pomegranates, symbolically visiting herself.

In Song 7:12, the woman invites her beloved to go see vines and pomegranates in bloom — almost identical language to her solitary visit here.

Song 2:13 explicitly mentions vines in blossom and fig trees—this is the same agricultural scene of spring growth.

Song 4:13 describes the beloved as an orchard of pomegranates—this same pomegranate imagery appears in the garden visit.

In Song 5:1, the beloved enters his garden (the woman); here the woman goes to a garden, reversing the entry direction.
