Hebrews 4:12 describes God's word piercing to discern thoughts and intents — parallel to the lamp of the Lord searching inward parts.

Psalm 18:28 speaks of God lighting a candle (lamp) — parallel to the spirit as a lamp from the Lord, bringing light to darkness.
