Matthew 8:24 recounts another storm on the same sea with disciples in a boat, but there Jesus is with them, unlike this verse.

Mark 6:48 is the parallel account: Jesus sees the disciples toiling in the storm before walking on water.

John 6:18 describes the same storm: a great wind causing the sea to rise as the disciples struggle.
