Luke 12:28

If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Cross-references

Luke 8:25 Parallel

In Luke 8:25, Jesus asks 'Where is your faith?'—the same rebuke of little faith as in 12:28, linking God's provision with trust in his power.

1 Peter 1:24 quotes Isaiah 40:6 on the fleeting glory of man, directly paralleling Jesus' point about grass that is here today and gone tomorrow.

Matthew 6:30 is the parallel passage — almost verbatim same teaching on God's provision and 'little faith'.

Isaiah 40:6 Allusion

Isaiah 40:6 declares all flesh is grass and its beauty like a flower, an OT foundation for Jesus' imagery of grass that withers and is thrown away.
