Leviticus 19:7 repeats this same rule: eating the sacrifice on the third day makes it abominable and unacceptable.

Leviticus 8:32 gives the same instruction for the ordination offering: burn the remainder with fire.

Leviticus 6:23 also prohibits eating a sacrificial offering (the priest's grain offering), though the reason differs from the time limit here.

In Exodus 12:10, the same command applies to the Passover lamb: any leftovers must be burned by morning.
