In Joshua 13:18, Bezer and Jahaz appear among the cities given to the tribe of Reuben in the same territory.

Joshua 20:8 identifies Bezer as a city of refuge, which is also a Levitical city here.

Deuteronomy 4:43 also names Bezer as a city of refuge for Reuben, consistent with its Levitical role.

1 Chronicles 6:78 parallels this list, giving the same cities Bezer and Jahazah for Levites from Reuben.

In Numbers 35:6, God commands giving 48 cities to Levites; Joshua 21:36 records the allocation of Bezer and Jahaz as part of that fulfillment.
