Genesis 31:25

Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead.

Cross-reference

In Genesis 33:18, Jacob again pitches his tent — this time safely in Canaan. Gilead marks the tense homeward journey; Shechem marks its peaceful arrival.

Hebrews 11:9 names Jacob as one who 'dwelt in tabernacles' by faith — these pitched tents are part of the patriarchal sojourning the author celebrates.
