Ezekiel 23:23

The Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them: all of them desirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses.

Cross-reference

Ezekiel 23:6 similarly describes Assyrians as 'desirable young men' and horsemen — the same imagery used here for Oholibah's attackers.

Ezekiel 23:12 describes Oholibah's lust for Assyrians — the same nations that become her attackers in verse 23.

Ezekiel 21:19-27 describes the same Babylonian campaign against Jerusalem — the sword of the Lord coming through Nebuchadnezzar.

2 Kings 20:14–17 Prophetic fulfillment

2 Kings 20:14-17 records Isaiah's prophecy that Babylon would carry away all — the same Babylonians listed here as agents of judgment.

2 Kings 24:2 describes the same coalition of Chaldeans and allies sent against Judah — mirroring the list of Babylon's confederates here.

2 Kings 25:1–3 Prophetic fulfillment

2 Kings 25:1-3 reports the historical siege by Babylon — the same army listed here, fulfilling Ezekiel's prophecy.

Jeremiah 50:21 mentions Pekod — the same Babylonian tribe listed here — but as a target of God's judgment, showing the reversal.

Isaiah 23:13 also depicts the Chaldeans as a destructive force — here they are the agents against Tyre, parallel to their role against Jerusalem.
