Esther 3:15 shows the king and Haman drinking after the decree against Jews — here in 7:1, they drink again, but now Esther will expose Haman, reversing that scene.

Esther 5:8 contains Esther's invitation to the banquet — here in 7:1, that invitation is fulfilled as the king and Haman go to dine with her.
